Tangible is a 3 days retreat program designed for architects by architects.
You are joining a samll group of like-mided people, relax, contemplate and cocreate with fellow architects from various countries.
Lectures, talks and workshops are held in english.
Who is it for?
The program is aimed for all architects, as well as interrior designers and landscape architects, of any age who feel like they need a break.
The program is not suitable for students, while people with some working life experince will benefit the most.
How to get there?
Cerdeira is located in Central Portugal, less than an hour away from Coimbra, 9 km away from Lousã, 164 km from Porto and 217 km from Lisbon.
By public transportation:
Take the train or bus to Coimbra, then we help you to arrange a taxi to the event location
By car:
Follow the highway from the city and then prepare yourself for a picturesque mountain drive for the last dozen kilometers
We contact you for the booking details and help you with wayfinding
Where do we live?
We are staying in the original stone handclad houses of Cerideira valley. It is an awarded destination, one of the 27 Aldeias do Xisto - a heritage preservation project uniting the schist houses villages in Central Portugal.
Every house is different and has a history.
Each house can host two participants independently and comfortably, which means own bedroom and shared equipped kitchen and bathroom. You can see pictures of the houses and more details at Cerdeira homepage
All the meals during the program are included, prepared for us by the local team of Cerdeira from fresh local ingridients. Lets us know about dietary restrictions and allergies.
Note that cell phone coverage in mountain areas can vary a lot depending on the operator. All the houses and common area have free Wi-Fi.
The goal of the event is to escape the digital routines to focus on the tangible experinece and enjoy the current moment, so we hope you won´t be needing your devices as much as in your daily life.
Let us know if you have any restrictions. Due to the location and topography of the village there are some limitations for universal access, however there are ways to prove stay for reduced mobility participants. Take direct contact if you have inquires regarding that.
What if i have booked and can´t come?
We have a cancellation policy. By the booking we ask you for the deposit of 30% percent of the package price. The rest is to be paid by the arrival. If you cancel 14 days before the event you get back deposit. If you cancel in less then 14 days before the event the deposit is not refundable.

I want to join, but I am not an architect
It is a core feature of the event that all the participants have a common ground and similar experience. This allows us to connect better and keep the discussion on the high level, sticking to our language and values
We might organise similar event or a special edition open for everyone interested in the topic of architecture.
